A 66-year-old woman died Sunday morning while snorkeling at a popular spot in Honolulu.
Lifeguards discovered Jian-Ping Sun, of Campbell, unresponsive in Hanauma Bay at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday, about 10 feet from the shore, according to the Honolulu Police Department.
The Honolulu Department of the Medical Examiner confirmed her identity to SFGATE.
Lifeguards initiated CPR before emergency medical personnel arrived and transported her to a hospital. She was later pronounced dead.
