Hayley Williams has been a musician for decades, but she’s never played like this before.
The singer, best known for fronting the rock group Paramore, has stepped out on her own with the current “Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party” tour —her first solo trek. The tour is in support of her recent solo album of the same name, which draws on all of the emotional honesty and pop-punk energy that she brought to the band, translating it to her her personal life.
Williams’ record, which was released independently in 2025, mainly centers on her departure from Atlantic Records and breakup with her Paramore bandmate and former partner Taylor York. While the band has been on hiatus, Williams has been touring the country performing the record. She’s set to play three sold-out performances at the Fox Theater in Oakland on Thursday, May 7, and May 9-10.
