A crash between a school bus and another vehicle on Wednesday resulted in multiple injuries, according to the Sacramento Fire Department. Sac Fire said the crash happened in the 3900 block of Belden Street in Del Paso Heights around 2:50 p.m. when a pickup truck collided with the bus. The truck then crashed into a shed. Home surveillance video shared with KCRA 3 showed the moment front of the bus made contact with the truck. After the truck came to rest, several people were seen climbing out of the truck bed and more from inside the vehicle.Officials said that about nine to 11 people were involved in the situation, with eight people transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Five special needs students from Grant Union High School were onboard the bus, officials said. The Twin Rivers School District said that as a precaution one student on the bus and a bus driver were taken to the hospital. No other students on the bus were hurt. A doctor on the scene evaluated the students and Twin Rivers brought another bus to get students home. The California Highway Patrol is taking the lead on the investigation of the crash because it involved a school bus. This is a developing story.
