BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The California Young Republicans and the Kern County Young Republicans will be co-hosting a forum featuring California’s two Republican candidates for governor, Chad Bianco and Steve Hilton.

Organizers for the event say that forum will “bring together young professionals and community members from across the Central Valley for a timely discussion on the future of California.”

The event comes after Bianco and Hilton participated in two California governor debates in April, along with several Democratic candidates.

The governor’s forum will be held at the Liberty Center located at 5300 California Ave., May 9.

The forum will run from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Kern County Young Republicans will host a reception following the forum. Tickets for 40-year-olds and younger are $10 and tickets for ages 41 and up are $20.
