An 11-year-old girl was sexually battered by a unknown male near the 13400 block of Midland Road in the City of Poway, according to the San Diego County’s Sheriff’s Office. This happened at about 7 p.m. on May 2.
The girl’s friend was with her at the time and screamed for the unknown man to stop, according to their press release. The suspect then stopped and fled the scene.
Sheriff’s ASTREA, K9, and deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Child Abuse Unit Detectives took over the investigation and completed a search of the area.
“The suspect is described as a male approximately 25-35 years old, medium build and complexion, approximately 5’10” with a bald or shaved head. He was last seen wearing black sunglasses, a grey colored hooded sweatshirt, and black shorts,” said the press release.
No other information was available at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
