Scattered showers will fall across San Diego County through late Tuesday morning and could be accompanied by winds gusting 35 mph to 45 mph on Interstate 8 east of Alpine, the National Weather Service says.

Rainfall totals are expected to range from 0.10 inches at the coast to 0.40 inches in some inland foothills and valleys.

Daytime high temperatures will be in the upper 60s until Thursday, when they rise into the low 70s at the coast and near 80 inland. The warming trend could become stronger going into Mother’s Day weekend.
