Carmel Valley and Solana Beach will again host pit stops for this year’s Bike Anywhere Day on Thursday, May 21, from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. For more than 30 years, SANDAG has hosted this regional event to celebrate National Bike Month in May to alleviate traffic and reduce air pollution while promoting biking as a fun, sustainable and healthy transportation choice. On Bike Anywhere Day, riders can explore more than 1,800 miles of bikeways throughout the San Diego region.
In 2025, more than 10,000 pit stop visits were recorded across the region.
Local pit stops include:
SR-56 Bike Path in Carmel Valley at Tang Drive near Carmel Creek Road. Jimbo’s will host a pit stop with organic fruit, snacks and coffee.
SR-56 Bike Path at Sorrento Valley Road. Pit stop sponsor Parametrix will provide both fresh and grab-and-go food options such as fresh coffee and bagels, fruit, granola bars, water and more.
SR-56 Bike Path, just west of Camino Del Sur. Intuit will provide swag, snacks, water, “good vibes and lots of stoke.”
Corner of Highway 101 and Lomas Santa Fe in Solana Beach. San Diego Electric Bike / Arendsen Braddock LLP will host a stop with free coffee, cold water, snacks, music, e-bike Demos and shop dogs
Ride Solana Beach, 113 North Acacia Avenue. This pit stop will be hosted by the beach rental bike shop across the street from Fletcher Cove.
Solana Beach Coaster Station, 105 North Cedros Avenue. A pit stop and pop-up booth will be hosted by the City of Solana Beach and the North County Transit District
Participants can pick up a free commemorative t-shirt at any Bike Anywhere Day Pit stop while supplies last.
