Think your pet is the cutest of all the pets in Fresno County? See if your pet (or pets) has what it takes to win The Fresno Bee’s contest to find the cutest cat and dog.
We will have two separate contests to find the cutest cat and the cutest dog in Fresno County. Here’s how to enter:
Submit a photo of your pet with their name and other details
Submit a photo of your pet with their name and other information no later than 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025.
Anyone can submit their cat and/or dog for the contest. You can submit multiple pets, but you must use a separate submission form for each pet.

If more than 50 submissions are received, a newsroom committee made up of Fresno Bee pet lovers will choose the Top 50 from the submissions. Those Top 50 will move to the public voting rounds.
Once voting opens, you can vote as many times as you wish.
Cutest cat and dog contests are taking place at more than 20 McClatchy newspapers across the country. The winners from each market will automatically be entered into a second contest to determine the Cutest Cat and Cutest Dog in the country, launching Monday, Nov. 10.
Voting schedule
Voting will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, and end at midnight on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
The top 10 dogs and cats will move on for the second round, with voting starting at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23.
Voting for Round 2 ends at midnight on Monday, Oct. 27.
Winners will be announced at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 3, on fresnobee.com.
