Vallejo police said officers were called to a hospital about 5:35 p.m. Friday after staff reported that an adult woman with at least one gunshot wound had been left there by an unknown person.

The person was gone before hospital staff could notify law enforcement, police said.

Despite life-saving efforts by medical personnel, the woman died at the hospital.

A GoFundMe campaign identified her as Corsetti and said the family was raising money to help cover expenses after “an unimaginable tragedy.”

“She was taken from us far too soon, and our hearts are broken as we try to come to terms with this loss,” the fundraiser said. “My sister was a bright light in our lives — her kindness, laughter, and spirit touched everyone she met.”

The fundraiser described Corsetti as deeply loved by her parents, sisters and extended family. Relatives said they hoped to honor her “in a way that reflects the love and joy she brought to those around her.”

A song Corsetti recorded in 2015 with DJ Jack Nas was released on Bandcamp this week as an unfinished track titled “Daddy Issues.”

In a post, the musician wrote that he hoped Corsetti’s voice would “bring her friends and family comfort during this time of grieving.”

Vallejo police said detectives are investigating the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting. Police did not announce any arrests or release suspect information.

The killing marked Vallejo’s third homicide of 2026, according to police.
