(FOX40.COM) — Two men were arrested Thursday morning after they were found to be in possession of a stolen car, a gun and drugs, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

SCSO said that around 3 a.m. deputies recovered a stolen car. Marcus Wandick, 45, and Derwin Mulwee, 36, were arrested after deputies witnessed them walking away from the car.

According to SCSO, Mulwee was witnessed attempting to hide a backpack where deputies found a loaded 0.38 caliber handgun and narcotics paraphernalia. Mulwee was confirmed to be a convicted felon, on felony probation and prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition.

Meanwhile, Wandick was driving the car and had the keys, the sheriff’s office said.

According to deputies, Wandick was also found to have a felony no-bail warrant for vehicle theft and other misdemeanor warrants.

Both men were booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on related charges.
