BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Community Action Partnership of Kern, or CAPK, is providing a safe place for children from low-income families to learn, grow and connect this summer.
The Friendship House Community Center summer program is free and open to children ages 6 to 18.
The program offers activities throughout the day such as sports, arts and crafts, and educational games.
Free breakfast and lunch are also provided.

CAPK Advocacy and Public Relations Manager Savannah Oates joined ARC Bakersfield to share more details.
Registration can be done in person at the Friendship House at 2424 Cottonwood Road.
