Pull out your sunglasses for sunny-like conditions all throughout the weekend
Southern California residents are preparing for another heatwave as temperatures are expected to feel summer-like in nearby regions for the Mother’s Day weekend.
There is a high-pressure system moving in from the west, which is causing a major shift in the forecast, which will begin on Friday afternoon.
Most communities can expect temperatures reaching mid-70s to mid-80s, but then increasing to the 80s and 90s as the weekend unfolds, up until Tuesday of next week.

Los Angeles: 86 degrees
Pasadena: 91 degrees
Ventura: 76 degrees
Santa Clarita: 95 degrees
Camarillo: 80 degrees
Simi Valley: 90 degrees
The National Weather Service claims that there is a chance temperatures will reach up to 100 degrees in valley regions on Sunday and Monday. Officials suggest staying in shaded areas, well-air-conditioned places, limiting outdoor activities and staying hydrated.
There will be a marine layer near the coast on Sunday during the morning hours. This is when temperatures will begin to rise into the mid-90s in the coastal valleys, mid-80s in downtown LA and mid-70s by the beaches.
The hottest day of the heatwave will be on Monday, according to the NWS. Regions will see 80s to mid-90s in the forecast.
Conditions will start cooling off by the end of the week.
