A man was captured Saturday after breaking away from a Fresno County sheriff’s deputy who was arresting him.
The search involved the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, Fresno Police Department and the California Highway Patrol, including the use of a helicopter.
Deputies said they responded to a call for service shortly after 1 a.m. and took the suspect into custody.
The man later ran from a deputy, officials said.
Authorities searched for him along Highway 99 near Stanislaus. He was taken into custody near G Street and Stanislaus.
According to jail records, the man was identified as Timothy Rocky Remillard.
He was booked on suspicion of: deterring an officer by threat or violence; assault on a public official; obstructing a public officer; attempted removal of a firearm from an officer; battery on police/fire personnel (no injury); escape from sheriff’s custody; first-degree burglary; probation violation; receiving or concealing stolen property; and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.
