Two people have been arrested in connection with an assault and carjacking at a gas station in south Sacramento in April, the sheriff’s office said.The incident was reported at the Fastrip gas station in the 8000 block of Florin Road on April 13 around 9:22 p.m. Video footage showed a 42-year–old victim was in a verbal altercation with three male suspects, one of whom spat on and struck the man’s truck. The 42-year-old left the gas station and then returned with a large block of wood, according to the sheriff’s office. A fight with the three people ensued, during which the block of wood was taken from the man and he was beaten with it. During the fight, one of the suspects drove away with the man’s truck and the other two suspects also eventually got into the truck and fled, according to the sheriff’s office. The sheriff’s office’s Gang Suppression Unit identified two of the three suspects and detectives issued warrants for them. On May 5, Sincere Russell, 18, and a juvenile were arrested near the gas station.
