PUERTO DEL ROSARIO, Spain (WKRC) – A man was accused of murdering and dismembering his mother in a foreign country and abandoning her body in a landfill for days.

Katty Oosterlinck, 56, was reported missing by her family on May 4 when they were unable to reach her for multiple days, according to local outlet Nieuwsblad. Although Oosterlinck and her family were from Belgium, the woman reportedly lived in the town of Corralejo on the Spanish island of Puerto del Rosario.

Oosterlinck’s body was reportedly found on May 8 in a landfill after days of searching. Her body was discovered dismembered, People reported.

Authorities did not release much information about the investigation, but announced the arrest of Oosterlinck’s 22-year-old son on suspicion of murder, according to HLN.
