BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Two GoFundMe campaigns were created for the brothers killed in a plane crash that sparked the 2,200+ acre Canyon Fire in Kern County.
The Bureau of Land Management said on May 7, at around 12:15 p.m., the BLM received reports of a commercial aircraft crash on BLM-managed lands in the Ridgecrest Field Office, resulting in a fire and two confirmed deaths.
Search and Rescue teams and BLM Rangers were on scene. BLM said they worked with partner agencies to secure the area and support the ongoing investigation.

According to CalFire, the so-called Canyon Fire burned 2,278 acres. As of Monday afternoon, it is 98% contained.

BLM said they offers its condolences to the families affected by the plane crash in the El Paso Mountains.
Two GoFundMe campaigns were made for those involved in the plane crash.
One was created for a man identified as Temo and another for a man identified as Ramzi.
The GoFundMe created for Temo said, “This loss is even more heartbreaking as Temo and his dear brother, Ramzi, passed away together in a plane crash. The family is mourning the loss of both Temo and Ramzi, and your support will help us come together during this incredibly difficult time.” The funds would be used for to help his fiancée on travel expenses to California as well as his funeral expenses.

The GoFundMe for Ramzi said he was a newly graduated flight instructor. The funds would be for his wife and three children to cover shelter, food, and living expenses.
