From watchdog coverage of Orange County’s Medi-Cal Program, to coverage of ICE raids across our cities to the health of our beaches, Voice of OC staff are finalists in 11 categories in the Southern California Journalism Awards from the LA Press Club.

Director of Photography, Julie Leopo was recognized for her work during last summer’s ICE protests in Orange County. Hosam Elattar’s profile of cancer survivor Anita Tran, is a finalist for personality profile, and Publisher Norberto Santana, Jr is a finalist in both the Columnist and Political Commentary categories.
