Don’t be scared: There’s still time to fit in more holiday fun before Halloween ends. Here’s another batch of activities to check out.

Halloween Party: The Holloway-Gonzales Branch Library will offer a spooktacular evening with pumpkin painting, trick-or-treat bag decorating, cornhole and candy. The fun starts at 5 p.m. Thursday at the library, 506 E. Brundage Lane.

Spooky Halloween Bubble Bash: This second annual family-friendly party at Wilson Branch Library will feature music, glow sticks, bubbles, balloons, candy and festive spooky fun. The first 200 kids in attendance to the event will receive a Halloween goody bag. The bash runs from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at the library, 1901 Wilson Road.

Book-O-Treat: Children can trick-or-treat through Northeast Branch Library to collect candy from fun, book-themed displays. The staff will be in costume and there will be a paper bag pumpkin patch. Each bag will have a surprise craft inside. The event runs from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at the library, 2671 Oswell St.

Halloween Bike Ride: Critical Mass Bakersfield, a group supporting fun runs and cyclists’ rights, will host a 23-mile ride on Halloween through the Oleander and Haggin Oaks areas. Families are welcome as long as they can keep up with the ride. All forms of wheeled transportation except motorized bikes are allowed. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes. Bike helmets are required for those under 18. Riders will meet at Beach Park (3400 21st St.) at 6:30 p.m., with the ride starting at 7 p.m. after instructions and the route are given. Halloween Night Buffet: Max’s Bakersfield will host a Halloween Night Buffet on Thursday. Enjoy a variety of Filipino fare while listening to music by Benjus Project. A costume contest will be held, offering prizes, so dress to impress. Admission is $40. Pick up tickets at Max’s, 4130 California Ave.

Halloween Par-Tee: Rio Bravo Country Club will offer an all-ages celebration with fun games, a DJ and delicious food available for purchase. Costumes are encouraged for adults as well as children. Open to the public, the celebration kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday at the club, 15200 Casa Club Drive.

Halloween Rewind: Little Bakersfield Flea Market will host this kid- and pet-friendly event Saturday in the parking lot at In Your Wildest Dreams. Vendors will have Halloween-themed goods, art, digital cameras, trinkets, clothing (Y2K, vintage, upcycled, inclusive), crocheted Items and more. There will be tarot readings and coffee will be for sale from Jittery Geeks. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p,m. Saturday at 2819 F St.

Chuy’s annual Trunk-or-Treat: The Bakersfield Car Club Council and Chester Ave. Cruise Group will present this trunk-or-treat event from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Chuy’s Baja Grill Rosedale, 8660 Rosedale Highway.

Infinity Bakersfield & Slice of Italy Trunk or Treat: Bring your little ghouls and goblins for a night of Halloween fun that will include food, drinks, a DJ and more. There will be a prize for best kids costume and best decorated car It runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at 2611 F St.

Salty’s BBQ Trunk or Treat Car & Truck Show: Bring the kids in their Halloween finest to collect candy from decked-out cars and trucks. It runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Salty’s BBQ & Catering, 6801 White Lane, Suite B.

Trunk-or-Treat: Cain Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church will host this event for school-age children in costume. It will include a performance by the Cain Memorial Inspirational Choir. The event runs from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at 1030 Fourth St.

Haunted houses: Visit Binning Manor Spook Alley, open from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at 6904 Olive Drive; Noble Manor Haunt, open from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday at 811 Acacia Ave.; or Lozano Haunt, open 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at 1805 Duke Drive. Admission is free but donations are gladly accepted to help keep the home haunts running. Binning also offers a $10 fast pass to help skip the line.

The Empty Space: The theater at 5417 Woodmere Drive is hosting a Reverse Trick or Treat to aid community members impacted by the government shutdown. Now through Sunday, drop off nonperishable food items or hygiene products, which will be given to the Community Action Partnership of Kern Food Bank. “Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors” plays into the weekend with showtimes at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Halloween Bash: The Pour House Bar & Grill will bring the treats if you bring the tricks for this holiday event. Come dressed in your best costume and enjoy karaoke, contests, drink specials, games and all-night fun. This free 21-and-older gathering will run from 9 p.m. until closing at the bar, 4041 Fruitvale Ave.

Halloween Party at Chef Lino’s Prime: The restaurant will keep the crowd going into the night with a DJ and after-hours menu from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. at 11350 Ming Ave., Suite 260. Halloween at Rooster’s Honkytonk: Matt Anspach and his high-energy crew will help you rock the night away along with a costume contest, spooky drink specials and dancing till the witching hour with DJ Durk. It starts at 9 p.m. Friday at Roosters, 1531 19th St. The cover is $5.
