MOORPARK — Wilson junior sprinter Clara Adams stormed down the homestretch to win individual titles in the 200 and 400 at the CIF Southern Section Division 1 track and field finals at Moorpark High School Saturday.
Adams, who ran 23.53 in the 200 and 52.98 in the 400, scored 20 points by herself. She led Wilson to an impressive 1, 2, 3, 4 finish in the girls 400, which gave the Bruins 29 total points in the program’s most dominant event.
Wilson won the team title with 96 points. It was the program’s second consecutive CIF-SS championship. Poly finished second with 50 points.
