A 28-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision in an El Cerrito intersection Friday.
The man was riding to the east on El Cajon Boulevard shortly before 1 p.m. Friday when the driver of an oncoming 2019 Toyota sedan made a left turn directly in his path at 56th Street, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The motorcycle crashed into the front passenger side of the car, leaving the rider gravely injured, SDPD Officer Jose Perales said. Paramedics took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The 22-year-old woman who had been driving the Toyota suffered minor injuries, according to police.
“Alcohol was not a factor in this collision,” Perales said.
