A vegetation fire reported around 3:20 p.m. Sunday prompted the closure of the connector between the northbound SR-163 and the eastbound I-8.
The connector was closed at 3:29 p.m., according to Caltrans District 11.
The left lane was reopened at 3:44 p.m., and all lanes were reopened just after 4 p.m.
The San Diego Fire Department said three to four eucalyptus trees in the areas caught on fire. The cause remains under investigation.
