SEATTLE, Wash. – The Seattle Mariners debuted star youngster Colt Emerson in today’s loss to the San Diego Padres.

The No. 6-ranked MLB prospect and Mariners’ No. 1 tore through the minors over the last season before starting with Triple-A Tacoma this season.

Emerson finished today 0-2 with a walk and a later bases-loaded run off another walk.

The Mariners called up Emerson as he was dressed and ready for Tacoma’s 1:25 p.m. game, so he trekked the 35-mile drive to T-Mobile Park to change and play for the M’s just a couple of hours later.
