BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Four people, including one driver with a previous conviction, were arrested in a DUI and licensing checkpoint Friday, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
BPD conducted the checkpoint in the 1400 block of Union Avenue on Saturday, May 16 from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Of the four drivers arrested for DUI, one had a prior DUI conviction, officials said.
Two drivers were cited for driving on a suspended license and three drivers were cited for driving without a license. Seven vehicles were impounded, according to a statement.
Police said they screened 1,098 vehicles during the checkpoint.
