Re “Embrace of gerrymandering is an assault on democracy” (May 3): Mr. James Wang’s letter is absolutely — sadly — correct. To think that the long, painful struggle to guarantee voting rights for all is now for naught. Republicans will do anything to steal the election, and Democrats will do anything to stop Trump. Democracy thwarted. Voters be damned!
