Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., who announced her retirement on Nov. 6 after representing San Francisco in the House since 1987, this week endorsed San Francisco Supervisor Connie Chan. Pelosi passed on endorsing state Sen. Scott Wiener, a 17-year state legislator long viewed as a possible successor to the 85-year-old congresswoman.
