The Anaheim Ducks‘ season ended after falling to the Vegas Golden Knights in six games. After the series, it came out that Cutter Gauthier has been dealing with a back injury throughout the playoffs.

On Thursday, the Ducks released their full injury list, per Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune.

Drew Helleson had a groin strain and will be ready for camp, while Ryan Poehling had a concussion, but is now clear of symptoms. Pavel Mintyukov had an MCL sprain, but is also expected to be ready for camo. Rado Guda had an ankle sprain, but would have been cleared had the Ducks advanced.

Still, the biggest injury news was about Troy Terry. Terry had a chronic hip impingement and will undergo surgery in the near future. Terry missed a total of 20 games this season, both times for an upper-body injury, and not related to the hip impingement. This has been a long-standing injury, though.

“Troy told me had hadn’t been able to tie his own skates since January,” Cavanagh posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Hip impingements can be worked through via physical therapy or injections, likely both options that Terry has already gone through. Recovery can be over six months from the surgery date for return to action, which would take Terry out for the first part of the 2026-27 season.  The 28-year old often missed morning skates and practices to have treatment.

“It was kind of going on since January or something, so it’s just been kind of a fluid situation,” Terry said last week, after the Ducks’ season ended. “I give just a lot of credit to our medical staff and our doctors. Everyone’s dealing with stuff this time of year, so it’s just been a bit of a process.”

Now, the Ducks look towards next season and reaching the playoffs once again. It will likely be without Terry to start it.
