Los Angeles just picked up another major Michelin moment. On May 20, Michelin announced 11 new LA-area restaurants added to the California Michelin Guide.
The Michelin inspectors are paying especially close attention to the city’s current dining wave: intimate omakase counters, ambitious neighborhood spots, live-fire cooking, modern Korean American cuisine, and destination-worthy tacos all made the cut.
This is Michelin’s second California Guide update in just the past few months. Back in March, the guide also added several L.A.-area restaurants including Little Fish Melrose Hill, Lapaba, and Lugya’h by Poncho’s Tlayudas.
The additions don’t yet come with stars or Bib Gourmand status, but inclusion in the guide means each restaurant is officially on Michelin’s radar ahead of the 2026 California ceremony taking place June 24 in San Diego.
