XWind Studios recently released their rendition of Long Beach Airport (KLGB) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, serving Long Beach, California, with an average of 3.8 million passengers per year.

The airport was built in 1923, after the area had already been used for decades prior as a makeshift airfield, even housing the world’s first flight school in 1919.

The main terminal building was built in 1941, designed by William Horace Austin and Kenneth Smith Wing, and adorned with murals and mosaics by artist Grace Clements depicting aviation-related themes.

In the late 1920s, the City of Long Beach built a hangar and an administrative building for the US Navy, leasing it for only a dollar per year, ultimately establishing a Naval Reserve Air Base.

The aforementioned Naval Reserve Air Base was used to train and drill personnel.

It is served by Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Delta Connection, Hawaiian Airlines, and Southwest Airlines.

The scenery features an accurate rendition of the airport, including custom ground imagery, a fully custom terminal interior, true-to-life dynamic lighting, custom taxiway signage, and much more.

It’s available in the iniBuilds Store for roughly $16.11, requiring at least 4.16 GB of free hard disk space to install.
