SkyLife Air Ambulance marks 35 years of life-saving service

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — The community gathered to thank responders while SkyLife Air Ambulance celebrated 35 years of service.

Skylife Air Ambulance is stationed in Fresno, Visalia, Merced, and Byron.

The community gathered at the Fresno station to celebrate with food, tours of the aircraft, speak with first responders, and learn about the medical program.

The SkyLife Air Ambulance program provides rapid response for emergency and trauma situations, as well as interfacility transports for patients who need specialized care at another hospital.

Each base is equipped with advanced aircraft, industry-leading medical equipment, and the medications and specialty tools needed to deliver ICU-level care in flight.
