A juvenile was stabbed during a fight Sunday afternoon while waiting for a bus in Fresno.
The altercation occurred around 3:04 p.m. near Cedar and Shields avenues.
Two juveniles were waiting at a bus stop when they were approached by two people wearing ski masks, according to Fresno Police Lt. Henry Garcia III.
A fight broke out involving all four individuals, and one of the juveniles was stabbed in the side. The victim was taken to a local hospital and was reported in stable condition.
Garcia III said the two suspects fled into a nearby Walmart, where officers later detained them.
“We’re still early in the investigation to determine if those are the suspects who committed the stabbing,” Garcia III said.
Police said another fight involving friends of those involved occurred afterward, but the group left before officers arrived.
Anyone with information should call the police at 559-621-7000.
