Cal Fire will assist the East Bay Municipal Utilities District with setting fire to vegetation to reduce the potential for wildfire near the Mokelumne River Hatchery in San Joaquin County.
Fires are planned Monday through Wednesday in the vicinity of North McIntire Road in Clements, according to Cal Fire’s Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit. About 80 acres are targeted.
The burn is expected to begin between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. and last eight to nine hours. Smoke may be seen during these hours near Camanche Dam, Cal Fire said.
