• Annual Memorial Day Parade and Carnival: May 25. • Farmington area Memorial Day Parade: 10 a.m. May 25. The parade will travel westbound along Grand River Avenue between Orchard Lake Road and downtown Farmington, ending at Oakland Ave. and Grand River Ave. for a ceremony at the Farmington War Memorial Monument in Memorial Park, hosted by Groves-Walker American Legion Post 346, and Xemplar Club. • Annual Ferndale Memorial Day Parade: 10 a.m. May 25, beginning near the corner of Livernois Street and West Maplehurst Street, in Ferndale, and traveling along Livernois, Oakridge, Pinecrest, Nine Mile, and back to Livernois, ending at the Memorial Mall for a ceremony, where the names of local veterans who passed away in the past year will be read, hosted by the Ferndale Memorial Association. After the ceremony, the Ferndale Fire Department invites everyone to visit the station, across from the Memorial Mall at 1635 Livernois.
