A West Sacramento roadway has reopened after a diesel fuel spill near a busy intersection in West Sacramento. The West Sacramento Police Department said a small trailer carrying diesel fuel spilled the fuel onto the roadway near Jefferson Boulevard and Lake Washington Boulevard around 1 p.m. on Monday. Police added that the the trailer flipped and the cab did not. No other vehicles were involved. The incident prompted a road closure on Jefferson Boulevard between Linden Road and Lake Washington Boulevard. The roadway has since reopened after crews worked to clear the spill. There were no injures reported with the incident. The cause of the spill remains under investigation. A West Sacramento roadway has reopened after a diesel fuel spill near a busy intersection in West Sacramento.
The West Sacramento Police Department said a small trailer carrying diesel fuel spilled the fuel onto the roadway near Jefferson Boulevard and Lake Washington Boulevard around 1 p.m. on Monday.
Police added that the the trailer flipped and the cab did not. No other vehicles were involved.
The incident prompted a road closure on Jefferson Boulevard between Linden Road and Lake Washington Boulevard.
The roadway has since reopened after crews worked to clear the spill.
There were no injures reported with the incident.
The cause of the spill remains under investigation.
