Fresno County continues to break its own annual tourism revenue records, once again seeing the number climb, surpassing $1.8 billion in 2025 for the first time.
Travelers to Fresno County in 2025 spent a total of $1.82 billion, increasing 1.1% from 2024, according to the Economic Impact of Travel report conducted by Dean Runyan Associates.
The research concluded that visitors generated $156.3 million in local tax revenue, up 3.6% from 2024. Spending increased in food service, entertainment and air travel industries, with Fresno Yosemite International Airport serving a record 2.8 million passengers, up 2.9% from last year.
Travel and tourism-related jobs also saw growth, totaling over 17,580 last year, up 2.3%, with households in Fresno County saving an average of $481 from tax revenue generated by tourism.
Visit Fresno County, the county’s tourism promotion bureau, reported bringing in 83 different events to Fresno and Clovis, booking 36,500 hotel and motel room nights, driving an estimated $43 million to the region. The events included sporting tournaments, conventions and the first Robotics Central Valley Regional.
The latest figures also reflect continued growth for Fresno County’s tourism economy. After visitor spending reached $1.74 billion in 2024, the county climbed to $1.82 billion in 2025, marking another year of gains for the industry.
Local leaders have increasingly pointed to airport traffic, conventions, sporting events and Fresno County’s role as a gateway to Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks as key drivers of tourism spending.
While the increase was more measured than in some previous years, the continued growth reinforces tourism’s role as a contributor to local jobs, tax revenue and business activity throughout the county.
