An Uber driver is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood last month, court documents say. Court documents said Mustafa Al Ghurairi is accused of entering a woman’s home near Pitt’s campus after driving her there on March 21, 2026. The woman, according to officials, told police she had become intoxicated after attending a party and was taken home in an Uber hours later. She said an individual ended up on top of her inside her home and assaulted her. She was later taken to the hospital. While receiving treatment, she told police the driver, who was later identified as Al Ghurairi, attempted to text her the next day. She said she blocked his number and did not respond. Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 reached out to Uber, which issued the following statement:”We are sickened by the appalling details of this report. The driver was banned from the Uber platform as soon as we were made aware, and we have been in touch with the police. We’ll continue to assist law enforcement with their investigation however we can.”Al Ghurairi is currently awaiting arraignment and faces multiple charges, including aggravated indecent assault, rape, and harassment. An Uber driver is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood last month, court documents say.

Court documents said Mustafa Al Ghurairi is accused of entering a woman’s home near Pitt’s campus after driving her there on March 21, 2026.

The woman, according to officials, told police she had become intoxicated after attending a party and was taken home in an Uber hours later. She said an individual ended up on top of her inside her home and assaulted her.

She was later taken to the hospital.

While receiving treatment, she told police the driver, who was later identified as Al Ghurairi, attempted to text her the next day. She said she blocked his number and did not respond.

Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 reached out to Uber, which issued the following statement:
