Lanes blocked on EB Highway 50 due to a multicar crash

SACRAMENTO, Calif — Multiple car crashes have blocked lanes on eastbound Highway 50 near State Route 99 in midtown Sacramento.

California Highway Patrol said a car, for unknown reasons, crashed into the center divider on the highway and was stopped in the lanes, which led to multiple vehicles crashing into the car.

One person has been taken to the hospital with minor injuries, CHP said.

Multiple lanes are closed while officials work to clear debris from the roadway.
