The Butte City Bridge on Highway 162 in Glenn County has been officially renamed the John Hughes Memorial Bridge, honoring a man who spent his career building bridges across California and Nevada while mentoring the next generation of workers. The project is in its final phase, with demolition of the old bridge expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
