I’m on holiday visiting my family in Barcelona. I have been watching the horrible news of the mosque shooting and trying to field questions from local citizens and a 7-year-old granddaughter.
— Seven-year-old: “Does grandma have a gun in her house?” They talk about American gun violence in their classrooms!
— Why did these two “kids” go to a mosque? It surely wasn’t because they were taunted and teased by Muslims. Why?
— Why, in God’s name, does a family have 26 guns?
— Why nothing from the other family? It leads one to believe/speculate they are the source of this hatred.
