The two most dominant baseball programs in their respective sections won two more championships Saturday in impressive fashion.

Both were carried by the sport’s age-old axiom — pitching.

Granada (19-9) and De La Salle, which both had to replace most of their starters from 2025 teams due to graduation, both advanced to next week’s Northern California playoffs, which begin on Tuesday and conclude Saturday. Clayton Valley Charter-Concord, a 2-1 winner over Redwood-Larkspur in the third-place game, also advanced. NorCal softball action also begins Tuesday.

Meanwhile at Excite Ballpark in San Jose, Valley Christian (20-9) made it 12 Central Coast Section titles, including three of the past four, with a 6-0 win over Soquel in the Division 1 final as Gabe Felix and Alex Kim combined on a four-hitter.
