A San Francisco police officer who was shot multiple times Sunday night during an encounter with a robbery suspect in the Bayview District is expected to survive, according to the San Francisco Police Officers Association and the San Francisco Police Department.Police said the incident began at about 10:29 p.m. on May 31, when officers were alerted to a robbery-suspect vehicle entering San Francisco via the Bay Bridge. Officers located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop near Mission and First streets.
