An Amber Alert was issued Monday for a 5-year-old child who was abducted in Nevada, authorities said.
The alert requested by the Carson City Sheriff’s Office was for a girl identified as Amaya Meithof. Amaya was last seen in Carson City, Nevada and abducted by a man identified by authorities as Christopher Meithof.
They are believed to be in a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Oregon license plate 576 QNU. Authorities said they may be traveling to the Quartz Hill area near Lancaster, north of Los Angeles.
