The race for Los Angeles mayor has become a three-way contest between Mayor Karen Bass, Councilmember Nithya Raman and former reality TV star Spencer Pratt. Elected state offices on the ballot include California treasurer, controller, secretary of state, insurance commissioner, lieutenant governor and more. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s election pits Sheriff Robert Luna against the man he defeated in the last election, Alex Villanueva, and several other challengers. Races for Los Angeles City Council, Los Angeles County supervisor and several tax measures were on the ballot.The election also features some key U.S. House primary races, the first since voters approved redrawn Congressional district maps with Prop 05. The top two vote-getters in the primary election advance to a runoff election in November.
