WIXOM, Mich. – A woman is in critical condition after being ejected from her vehicle in a crash on an Oakland County exit ramp.
Police say the crash happened on the westbound I-96 exit ramp to Wixom Road on June 3 at around 3 a.m.
Wixom police were dispatched to the scene for a a single motor vehicle crash.
Preliminary investigation reveals the 26-year old woman was traveling West on I-96 and went off the roadway on the North side of I-96, ejecting her from the car.
The driver is receiving treatment at Henry Ford Providence Novi.
The investigation in the cause of the crash is on-going.
The exit ramp has been reopened for use.
Alcohol may be a contributing factor in the crash and is being investigated, police say.
