BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Cancer survivors from across Kern County were honored Sunday morning during an annual brunch hosted by Adventist Health’s AIS Cancer Center.

The center held its Cancer Survivors Day brunch at its Chester Avenue location to recognize people who have faced cancer and to highlight the message that life after a diagnosis can still be filled with hope and purpose.

The brunch was held in recognition of National Cancer Survivors Day, which is celebrated every first Sunday in June.
