BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A Shafter man was arrested on Tuesday after probation officers said they found a handgun in a home call, said the Kern County Probation Department.
On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, officers assigned to the department’s Adult Supervision Services Division conducted a home call in the 400 block of East Ash Avenue in Shafter.
Ricardo Abarca was contacted, who is on felony probation with search terms, said officials. In the search, officers said they found a Glock model 22 handgun.
