BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) — Due to heavy rainfall and flooding, several roads in Hancock and Harrison counties have become impassable.
Hancock County
The Hancock County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) said Saturday on Facebook that the following roads were identified as impassable:
Dogpatch RoadCarnation StreetSpiers Road near Road 337Rifle Range RoadLongfellow DriveChapman RoadEsplanade AvenueDan Garcia RoadArnold StreetAnsley RoadBayou Lacroix Road10th Street near Arnold StreetSpanish Acres Drive at the end7th Street off of Turner StreetBouslog Street (between Victoria Street and Seventh Street)West Marion StreetAcorn Street
The EMA identified the following roads as passable, but warned drivers to use caution:
Comanche StreetIndian Springs RoadCamellia Street (Kiln)
The EMA said all roads in Jordan River Shores are passable, but urged drivers to use extreme caution.
Viewer submitted video showed that Gardenia Street in the Kiln was also impassable.
According to the EMA, the Hancock County Road Department is working to barricade the impassable roads.
Harrison County
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), the city of Long Beach and the Pass Christian Police Department said Saturday on Facebook that the following roads were closed or impassable due to flooding:

Viewer submitted video also showed heavy flooding in the Windsong subdivision.
HCSO advised people to stay home and avoid driving if they can.

Video from Long Beach near Pineville Road and Mockingbird Drive shows heavy flooding.
The city of Long Beach advised residents with water entering their home to contact the Long Beach Fire Central Station dispatch at 228-863-7292.

The Pass Christian Police Department said people who observe flooding in other areas of town or need assistance should call the Police Department Dispatch Center at 228-452-3301.
