Oakland’s mayor announced Saturday she is officially running for reelection.
In a message posted on social media, Barbara Lee said her work is not finished, and she wants to keep fighting for a comprehensive approach to homelessness, more affordable housing, public safety, good paying jobs, and safe, clean neighborhoods.
She also outlined some of her accomplishments.
Lee took credit for lowering crime rates, modeling gun violence reduction, cutting homelessness in half, and breaking ground on affordable housing units.
