“Many squatters are also involved in other criminal endeavors, such as narcotics and theft,” reports the Los Angeles County Sheriff at LASD.org. “Many property owners just do not realize the scope of the squatter problem until they find their vacant property ransacked,” reported Daniel Yukelson, Executive Director at The Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles (AAGLA ).
