A suspect in a reported assault early Sunday morning in Pontiac was arrested several hours later and is held in the Oakland County Jail pending issuance of charges, officials said.
According to Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputy Tyler Sweers, the suspect is believed to have been involved in an altercation at around 4 a.m Sunday in the North Hill Farms apartment complex where he allegedly pointed a gun at someone. No shots were fired, Sweers said.
Deputies with the sheriff’s Directed Patrol Unit took the suspect into custody at around 6 p.m. following a traffic stop in that area, Sweers said. Social media posts on Sunday night reported a large police presence.
