The U.S. Navy is considering change the homeport of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln from San Diego to Bremerton, Washington.
The Navy says this would ensure strategic operational balance across the Pacific Fleet.
If the move happens, that would leave San Diego with only two flattop ships.
The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group 3 deployed from San Diego January 3rd, to support naval forces in the Indo Pacific to support maritime security.
